Those interested in planning this meal signed up on a list and will meet soon. We will be planning the menu, location etc, and will be happy to have more help and input. She briefly told us about her experiences with co-ops and her research in how to start one. A group of individuals interested in pursuing this will meet soon. The idea of a Macomb local food co-op seems to interest many FIG members... but this is not at the present time an official FIG committee. Contact Clare or Jamie or Dan if you are interested in joining us in our planning stages.<br></span></span></blockquote><br><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>5) Jamie Lane reported that the FIG Children's Tent served 30-40 children for all 22 weeks of the Farmer's Market. Jamie thanked Leslie Timlin and Lisa and Joel Gruver for all of their hard work to make the Children's Tent a success. Jamie emphasized that for the Children's Tent to continue next year more volunteer help will be required. Jamie moved to approve $220.00 to pay Elizabeth Dietrich for working on the Farmer's Market Newsletter, this motion was seconded and passed unanimously. This was approved by Ann Runner and seconded by Scot Worl. Lisa and Jamie do not think they will need this much money, and will work to keep prices down.<br> The Moses King Brickyard in Colcester is having an open house for donors (including FIG members) on October 25th at 3 PM. If you are planning to attend or bring a local food dish, please contact Lisa Gruver at 833-3897.<br> Joel Gruver reminded everyone that the movie Food, Inc will be showing at the Rialto Theater on Wed and Thursday. It was decided to print more of our local food brochures. Joel said he could stand at the counter of the theater at the beginning of the evening movies and hand out FIG brochures and FIG food guides.<br> Jamie presented a new list of members she has typed up. We discussed starting a new list serve so that these members can receive the minutes of our meetings and be kept informed of our projects and how better to join in and help on our activities. Our secretary postion is still open, which had also hindered communication.<br> Margaret Ovitt has offered to take over as membership director if she can resign as community outreach representative.
