[FIG-ALL] Jan. Supper and Food Safety Training

Hi all,

 

As you may know FIG is gearing up for a Soups and Chili Supper on Saturday, January 23 from 4:00-6:30 pm at the First Presbyterian Church (400 E. Carroll St.).  Most of the food products will be sourced locally and there will be some additional educational materials there.  We're planning to serve 200.  First come, first serve.  Attached is a flier that you can use to spread the word.

 

If you are interested in offering a helping hand for any part of the event, please contact Holly at HA-Stovall at wiu.edu

 

Lastly, if you are interested in a food safety training, either to help with this supper or future "locally sourced meals" you are invited to a food safety training given by the Health Department at 5 pm on Thursday, January 21st at First Presbyterian Church (the kitchen is downstairs).  

 

Please RSVP to me if you plan to attend the food safety training, so we have an idea of numbers.
