[FIG-ALL] FIG Board meeting

Hi everyone,

The next FIG Board will be meeting on Monday, November 2nd, at 7 pm  
at Project Insight.  Agenda items include:

*Planning update for the January or February 2010 winter local foods  
dinner.

*Discussion of a community gardening proposal and the role FIG should  
take in this project.

*Update from Dan about results of a statewide conference call among  
local food groups (possible motion for FIG to join the Illinois  
Stewardship Alliance).

*Adding Margaret Ovitt to the FIG Board as membership coordinator.

*Update from those who are discussing the formation of a food co-op.

*Winter membership drive proposal.  I plan to propose that FIG kick- 
off a winter membership drive with FIG giving back a coupon/gift  
certificate to Copperfield's bookstore in Macomb to all new and  
renewing FIG members.   Let me know if you have thoughts about this  
proposal or tell them to another board member.
