Hi all,

The next FIG meeting will be held Thursday, March 7 at 6 p.m. at Project Insight, 330 N. McArthur St (Grant School on the corner of McArthur and Adams). A "breakfast" dinner of multi-grain blueberry pancakes, eggs, sausage and juice will be provided by FIG. Local maple syrup will be served as well! Please bring your own table service for your family, including cups. Members are welcome to bring sides to accompany the dinner such as fruit or muffins. The dinner will be held in the gymnasium and children, as always, are welcome. The only business that will be conducted at the meeting will be the election of new officers and announcements from project team leaders.

You may have heard that FIG has many exciting projects in the works for this year, including the annual Local Foods Dinner, community gardening projects, updating the local food guide, revitalizing the Farmers' Market with a childrens’ tent, weekly music and family activities, and much more! We've been working on improving member benefits so come find out what FIG is doing and bring a friend!

We're hoping many of you will consider serving FIG in a new capacity. There are many board positions to fill (see the end of this email for a description of the board positions), and we are now accepting nominations. You may either nominate yourself or someone else. Nominations will be accepted by email or at the meeting. You don't need to be present at the meeting to be nominated or elected, but you may only nominate someone at the meeting with their consent. Please email lisagruver at hotmail.com with nominations.
Only due-paying members will be allowed to vote, so please remember to bring money to renew your dues. However, anyone is welcome to come and enjoy the food and learn more about FIG.

Dues are as follows:
$10 students, $15 individual, $25 family, $50 business/organization, $250 Lifetime Membership.

We look forward to seeing all of you in March!
