Hope you have a locally wonderful holiday season. :)

 

A few days ago I sent out an email with a survey for Extension professionals.  Please disregard that. FIG was asked to forward it to the listserv by mistake.

It is time to start thinking about the 2010 Local Food Guide.  We will update the guide by calling the producers on the current guide and verifying if the information is the same or if we need to make changes.  Unfortunately this is often when we learn of more farms going out of business.  Hopefully FIG is making a small dent in the local foods economy... and hopefully it will be a tad bigger in 2010. :)

 

If you would be willing to call 5 farms to check on their information published in the guide, please email me.  Thank you!!!  We need about 10 folks to help with this.

 

If you know of new farms that should be added, feel free to email me their information.

 

Save the date for January 23rd (4:00-6:30) for the winter local foods dinner. more info on that soon.
